Inspired by films like The Pelican Brief and Rear Window, and honing her craft from on-set mentors like Baz Luhrmann and Danny Cannon, Ukrainian American Olenka Denysenko uses dynamic camera work and intricately planned blocking to visually present a rich and cinematic style of storytelling. Growing up as a dancer in the renowned Syzokryli Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble, Olenka learned to convey stories through movement and energy to a live audience. Now as a director, Olenka implements those same principals, this time with actors and camerawork to tell emotionally driven stories in a visual medium.
